Sending a Document for Electronic Signature

SpringCM exposes the ability to send a document for electronic signature in the web services API.  When the DocumentSendForSignature method is invoked, it will respect the electronic signature settings setup in the user interface Preferences section for Electronic Signatures as well as take some options as parameters.  The document to be sent for electronic signature must be provided as well as these additional parameters:

  • message – A message to go with the signature request e-mail
  • emails – Pipe delimited set of e-mail addresses for which a signature request will be sent to each
  • writtenRequired – This will request that a fax copy of the signed document be provided by the signer
  • senderSignsToo – Sender will also sign the document
